Welton Rovers v City – Somerset Premier Cup 2nd Round

Our Somerset Cup journey continues tomorrow night! We make the short trip to West Clewes where we take on Welton Rovers in the second round. Kick off – 7:30pm.

A largely youthful Romans line-up saw off a resilient Bishops Lydeard side in the previous round at Twerton Park. A brace from Jon Mills and a close range Joe Hall effort guided City to a 3-2 win in the early stages of the competition.

City came up against Welton Rovers in last season’s Somerset Cup campaign and showed their class as Jerry Gill’s men breezed past the Green Army, winning 8-1 and sealing a spot in the semi-finals.
