Taylor on target again as City open account

Bath City Women secured their first win of the season this afternoon, beating Paulton Rovers by three goals to two at Winterfield Road. An own goal put City in front after nine minutes before the home side levelled in the 18th minute. Another nine minutes had passed when City regained the lead, Maddy Brown setting up Tara Taylor to net her third goal of the season. They reached the break with their advantage intact but Stuart’s looping effort made it 2-2 early in the second half. However, City would not be denied and Brown took full advantage of good work from Lily Simmons in the 55th minute to score what turned out to be the decisive goal.

The Development side also recorded a maiden win of the campaign this afternoon with Sabic Hajrija-Hari hat-trick – making it five goals in the opening two games – and a Tanea Wright goal leading them to a 4-2 win over Bishops Lydeard Reserves.
