Staff News – Billy Clark
Billy Clark has left his role at the Club. We thank Billy for all the work undertaken in his time with us and pass on our warmest good wishes for the future.
I would like to take this opportunity to formally announce that I have now left my role as the Bath City FC Head of Youth.
Having been in this role for over 12 years, since 2009, the time has come to bring an end to my role at the club.
After starting my position in 2009 I have seen many highs and reasons to be proud of the achievements of the football academy program.
Five players have represented the England colleges national team, many have supported the first team in training, Somerset Cup matches and Conference league matches. Three players have been signed by Bristol City which is an incredible achievement, two of these have made their league debut and all three continue to strive to enhance their professional careers.
Too many to mention are now playing locally in the football pyramid at various levels.
Other highlights are winning the South West Counties League Cup and reaching the 2nd round of the FA Youth Cup in 2019. The win against Andover Town, 3-2 aet in the first round was a night that will never be forgotten by anyone involved or any of the spectators in attendance on that night.
I have left my role to take up a new position at St Brendan’s College/Total Pro Soccer as the Head of Coaching and football development.
I would like to place on record my sincere appreciation for all of the staff, directors and chairman at Bath City Football Club. I would also like to thank all of the players and parents that I have worked with and got to know in my time as the Head of Youth. My time at the club is a period that I will look back on with a sense of pride and achievement but all good things come to an end.
I will still attend the first team matches when possible and support Jerry and the players.
Thank you for your support.
Regards Billy Clark
