Attacking midfielder Sol joined City in June 2024 from National League South rivals Maidstone United. He was part of the academy set-up at Weston Super Mare as a youngster – with trials at Southampton and both Bristol clubs – before going onto play for Cribbs FC and Slimbridge. He joined Hungerford Town in July 2020 and spent two seasons with the Crusaders before switching to Maidstone during the summer of 2022. His first season in Kent was disrupted by injury but he set the Stones on the way to their famous FA Cup run last season, scoring a hat-trick in the 2nd Round Qualifying tie at Steyning, although a foot injury meant he missed the Ipswich Town and Coventry City games. The 25-year old was released at the end of the 2023/24 season and, having previously been a target for the Romans during his time at Hungerford, returned to the West Country.
