We are pleased to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Lloyd James. Lloyd has played over 350 games in the EFL and was most recently at Forest Green Rovers following spells at Southampton, Colchester United, Leyton Orient & Exeter City.

Jerry Gill commented “I am delighted to have been able to secure the signing of Lloyd on a permanent deal with us at such a crucial stage of the season. Lloyd brings a wealth of experience and will play a pivotal role, not only on the pitch but off it as well, within what is a very young squad. Lloyd is familiar with us as a group of staff and players having trained with us over the last six weeks. He will go straight into the squad at Braintree tomorrow subject to FA clearance. I would like to thank the Board in supporting me with this signing and they are naturally delighted that we have been able to attract such a significant signing from a League Two club”

Upon signing Lloyd said “I am delighted to be on board, coming into a successful team. The manager was a huge reason for joining. I have enjoyed training with the lads and look forward to getting started.”
