Next Match – Hampton & Richmond Boro (H)
City play their second fixture of this bank holiday weekend on Monday afternoon against Hampton & Richmond Borough at Twerton Park.
The last time these two met was in April, when Ephraim Yeboah’s goal was the difference between the sides at the Beveree Stadium.
That result helped City qualify for the play-offs, and also contributed to Hampton & Richmond missing out on their chance of promotion, a failing that cost manager Mel Gwinnett his job.
Over the summer the Beavers signed 15 players, while 17 others left the club. Of those new arrivals, one, Josh Williams, has already left.
They lost five points from winning positions in their first two games this season. They then played out a 0-0 draw at Maidstone in their third match, their first clean sheet under new manager Alan Julian. They earned their second clean sheet and their first win of the new campaign by defeating Salisbury 1-0 at home on Saturday.
So far this season, with a squad severely depleted by injury, the Romans have lost narrowly to two pre-season promotion favourites in Boreham Wood and Torquay, but have also recorded their first win of the campaign, at home to Welling United. Jerry Gill’s men drew 0-0 at Tonbridge on Saturday to make it four points from four games.
In his time as Bath City manager, Gill has only suffered one home defeat to Hampton. Last season’s match against them at Twerton Park was played in August, when a brace from Scott Wilson and a third from Ewan Clark saw the Romans triumphant by 3-1.
This will be the 22nd meeting between Bath City and Hampton & Richmond Borough, all of which have been played in Conference/National League South.

Ephraim Yeboah’s volley saw Bath City pick up a priceless three points at Hampton & Richmond. The 17-year-old turned in Dan Greenslade’s cross to earn a deserved win for the Romans, their first at Hampton since 2018, moving them above the hosts into sixth. Cody Cooke missed a fifth minute penalty, sending his kick against the post. But in the end it proved academic as the hosts were shut down by a fine team display, Kieran Parselle standing out in his 100th appearance for the Stripes.
