The Rovers Return! The Romans take on our old friends EFL League 1 Bristol Rovers this Tuesday evening.

The Pirates return to Twerton Park bringing fond memories of their successful spell here in 1986-1996. Joey Barton’s 2022 version are newly promoted and could feature defender Ryan Jones who made 10 appearances for City during his loan spell. It’s also a chance for Gasheads to reacquaint themselves with fan favourite Chris Lines. Rovers recently started their pre-season campaign with a 6-1 dismantling of Southern League side Melksham Town.

This is your last chance to watch City at home for two weeks, so make sure you’re there to see the squad continue to gel and build on Saturday’s impressive draw with Cheltenham Town. The game could feature all eight of our new additions to the squad following the latest signings of the talented midfielder Luke Spokes and EFL Championship goalkeeper Joe Wright – and should be a good spectacle with a big crowd and played under lights.
