Next Match – Braintree Town – Home

City return to Twerton Park on Saturday to face Braintree Town with the hope of building on two excellent away performances at Eastbourne and Hampton with four points secured.
The Iron visit City on similar form to the Romans having picked up 4 points in their last two fixtures following a narrow opening day defeat away to Dulwich.

Since our first meeting with the Essex club in 2008, City have won two, drawn four and lost just the single home match to Braintree, all those fixtures taking place at this level except for one during our second season in the National League.

Following a 3-1 win for City at Cressing Road last September, the two clubs fought out a goalless draw at Twerton in late January, which remarkably was our first draw of the season.

Our opening day Dartford match attracted a crowd of over 1,000 and following the two pleasing away results and more comfortable temperatures forecast, we’ll be hoping for just as many or more of you to hopefully cheer us on to a first home win of the season.
