Message from The Chairman

On behalf of The Board I wanted to say a big thank you to all our supporters who came along to the game against Torquay on Saturday.

This top of the table clash with Torquay was one of the most memorable games at Twerton Park for many years.  A tremendous atmosphere, plenty of drama, and as many may know our biggest league crowd for over 50 years (3,492).

Jerry, Jim, the coaching team and all the players did the Club proud, in a very lively, dynamic and disciplined performance.  It was a great achievement to beat a team of full time professionals, who have only recently dropped down from a higher league, and who enjoy a much bigger budget. It was a great win on the day and encapsulated the squad’s determination, strength of character, and skill on display throughout this season.

Also, it takes a huge effort off the pitch to enable a record breaking day to run smoothly, so a big thank you to the “army” of volunteers who turn up regularly to help.

Thank you again to all those involved both on and off the pitch, and we hope we’ll see many of you back again soon, boosting the crowd, getting behind the team, and helping us kick on towards the play-offs.
