Make Sport Everyone’s Game
For this Saturday’s match against Chelmsford City, Bath City FC is supporting the Rainbow Laces campaign and will be asking the players to wear rainbow laces, provided by the Somerset FA. The Bath City women’s team will be attending the game and will also be wearing Rainbow Laces.
Since Rainbow Laces kicked off in 2013, more than a million people involved in football have laced up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, fitness and physical activity. But this must-win game isn’t over yet.
Large parts of the LGBTQ+ community still can’t be their true selves when attending or participating in sporting events. And in 2023, that has to change.
For this year’s campaign, which has been set up by Stonewall, the focus is ‘Lace up to keep it up’ and provide ongoing support to our LGBTQ+ communities.
