Ken Loach to attend The Bath Festival’s Bath City FC day of football fun
For the first time, The Bath Festival has joined forces with Bath City Football Club to offer a day of football events, activities and celebrity appearances on Saturday 12 May at their ground, Twerton Park.
The latest addition to the day is a free screening of the film Looking For Eric (rated 15). We’re really pleased to announce that Ken Loach will be attending this screening and will answer audience questions at the end. The film is centred around the escape from the trials of modern life that football and its heroes can bring for its fans. It was written by screenwriter Paul Laverty and directed by Ken Loach. The film’s cast includes the former professional footballer, Eric Cantona and the former bass guitarist with The Fall, Steve Evets. These free tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and can be reserved now by calling Bath Box Office on 01225 463362 or booking online here. In addition, a limited number of tickets are exclusively available for Twerton residents and can be picked up from the Bath City FC office in person, Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm or call 01225 423087 if you can’t make it during those times.
