Jerry Gill on Tom Smith

I wanted to give a special mention to Tom Smith who will be leaving us this summer.

Tom was my first loan signing back in 2017 when I first came into the job and has been an integral part of the club’s success on and off the pitch over the past six years.

He has given us and himself some amazing memories over the years, the seventeen goals in the season he was voted NLS Player of the Year. The rocket of a free kick he scored in the Christmas local derby at Chippenham. The wonder strike he hit on the volley down at Eastbourne from 30 yards out and many more.

Most of all Tom has been an absolute pleasure to manage and coach, a class human being who gave everything for Bath City Football Club.

Our relationship having worked together for so long is special and that will continue to be so.

I want to thank Tom from the bottom of my heart for his time with us and genuinely wish him every success at his next club who will be extremely lucky to be inheriting the ultimate professional and person.
