It’s Matchday – Good Friday Somerset Derby!
City will look to close the gap on the play-off places this afternoon when they return to Twerton Park to take on Somerset-based side Taunton Town for the first of the Romans remaining three fixtures at home. The Romans currently sit five points below the play-offs with six crucial League fixtures remaining. The Peacocks have struggled to find consistent form throughout the season leaving the side sat in 18th but have recently enjoyed greater success on the road including victories against play-off contenders Tonbridge Angels and Braintree Town. The sides last met late in September where a last-minute equaliser from Alex Fletcher secured a hard-fought point for the Romans.
