Football Update

As we embark on the start of the 2020/21 League campaign an update on recent football news.

We have today signed 19-year old defender, Tom Leak, on a one month from Walsall FC. Jerry commented “delighted to bring Tom to the Club. Having worked with his brother at Wolves and being aware of Tom’s successful loan at Salisbury last season, we welcome him as a physical presence, a natural defender. Thanks go to Walsall manager, Darrell Clarke for agreeing to this deal.”

After a successful trial period during pre-season, 18-year old midfielder Callum Watts, put pen to paper on a short term contract with the club last week. Jerry said “I feel Callum has done enough for us to offer him this short term deal and he becomes a valuable addition to the squad.”

Also joining us is Neil Moore as first team goalkeeping coach. Neil has worked for Bristol City Women FC and was most recently at Everton Women FC and he comes to the Club with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Jerry’s view was “Neil is fully qualified as goalkeeper and outfield coach and joins an already professional multi-disciplined team.”
