5-star City light up Her Game Too weekend

City rounded off the Her Game Too weekend in perfect style with a 5-0 home win over Shaftesbury Ladies. Libby Goater started City on the way to their biggest home win of the season with a neat finish on 16 minutes. And City went into the half-time interval two goals ahead as Amy Key netted from six yards out just before the break. City continued to control the game into the second half and on 62 minutes Lily Simmons scored her first goal for the club to make it 3-0. Chelsea Pearce had had a goal ruled out in the first half but she deservedly made it 4-0 in the 73rd minute, heading home Mils Bellotti’s corner. And the big win was sealed in stoppage time when Hari Sabic set up Goater to fire home her second and City’s fifth.
