Covid restriction lift sees extra on pitch activity
With Covid restrictions now lifted in the National League South, the recent Hemel Hempstead game saw the welcome return of some of the extra on-pitch activity that adds flavour to matchday.
There were two presentations before the game with Dan Ball receiving a salver from manager Jerry Gill to commemorate his 300 appearances for the club over a near 10-year period, and Zak Delaney was awarded his trophy as Cannon Clarke Player of the Month for February, presented by Dave Clarke and Jerry Gill.
We also had a stag group as one of our sponsors, with the groom being the namesake of our very own Tom Smith. Tom was the mascot for the day and five of his group did a crossbar challenge on the pitch at half-time and… their chosen Man of the Match was Tom Smith, who scored City’s winning goal! Prefect !!
As we return to normality, we were pleased to welcome Thatcham Tornadoes as our children’s group. They were the flag wavers as the teams took to the pitch and also met Cody Cooke before the game.
If you would like to get closer to the action with a special day for the kids – or big kids – then please contact Bob Chester at info@bathcityfootballclub.co.uk.
