Cooke scoops August Player of the Month

Striker Cody Cooke came out on top in the voting for our first Player of the Month Award for the 2021/22 season. With a scarcity of home fixtures in the second half of the month, Cody had to wait until Saturday’s match against Maidstone before his name was revealed and he could receive the award from Dave Clarke of Award Sponsors Cannon Clarke Ltd.

With three goals from our four opening league fixtures, Cooke attracted some 33% of the votes cast and was followed in second place by strike partner Alex Fletcher on 25% and Tom Smith in third with 9%.

Voting for the September award will take place this week, and is open only to Bath City Newsletter subscribers. If you haven’t already done so, sign up now. But hurry – voting will open on Tuesday with an invitation email and close at 23.59 on Wednesday, so that the award can be presented in a more timely fashion this coming Saturday.
