Clarke double helps City to Corsham win

City made it four games unbeaten with a 4-2 win over Corsham Town Women at Twerton Park this afternoon. It was the visitors who opened the scoring on 15 minutes when Menghini found the net with a 25-yard free-kick. City responded immediately after a great run by Ashley Harris saw her tee up Adella Clarke to roll the ball home a minute later. Ten minutes before half-time City went ahead from Erin Duffy’s 30-yard free-kick. Corsham were level again on the hour mark when Menghini netter her second with a neat finish. However, City would not be denied, Clarke making it 3-2 in the 69th minute before Erin Watkins sealed the win, converting an 80th minute corner.

Bath City Women Development suffered a 9-3 loss at Banwell Ladies. City were 6-0 down at half-time before drawing the second half. Jasmine Rennie and Tanea Wright (2, 1 pen) were on target in North Somerset.
