Chelmsford City Match – UPDATE – GAME OFF

Following a pitch inspection at 3pm yesterday, the pitch was declared playable by the match referee.

Ground staff were in attendance early on Saturday morning but despite our best efforts, this afternoon’s game has been called off.

Unfortunately, with heavy overnight frost, and with an insufficient rise in the temperature, a small area of the pitch has today been declared unplayable.

The match referee attended just after noon and made the decision that the area would not de-frost by kick off, therefore this afternoon’s match has been called off.

A new date for the match will be arranged in due course. We apologise to all supporters, especially those who have travelled.
