Bath City Women secure four more signings
With our opening pre-season match at Weston Super Mare AFC Ladies less than 48 hours away we are pleased to confirm another four Bath City Women players who will be back for the 2023/24 season. Winger Emily Dellow, whose 2022/23 season was cut short following a serious ankle injury, goalkeeper Sadie Farley, and midfielders Ashanti Golding and Jade Whale all return to Twerton Park for the new campaign.
Once again manager Matt Abreu gives his thoughts on the signings:
“I’m so pleased to see Emily return this year, she was a real asset to the team contributing to a number of goals before Christmas when injury ended her season. I can’t wait to see her back on the pitch tormenting full backs again.”
“As a young ‘keeper looking to make an impact in Women’s football, Sadie has shown patience and determination for her shot between the sticks. She really took her chance when it came, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.”
“Ashanti has been a part of Bath City long before the set up of our Women’s team. She has bags of potential, pace and technical ability and brings personality to the squad. I’m excited to see her back the new season.”
“Jade had a difficult start to last season wjth a reoccurring injury limiting her appearances early on though once fully fit, Jade battled her way back into the starting 11 and was an integral part of the squad, I’m happy she has re-signed.”
