The Romans begin their ‘Road to Wembley’ this weekend! Jerry Gill’s men take on Gosport Borough in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy. Kick Off – 3pm at Twerton Park!
City join the FA Trophy this week when they host Hampshire-based Gosport Borough on Saturday. The Boro’ sit in seventh place in the Southern Premier and come to the fixture on the back of 2-1 away win at Wimborne which followed a 1-0 defeat at Swindon Supermarine, who City beat 4-0 earlier in the season in the FA Cup.
The Romans are unbeaten at home since August, and will be welcoming back three absentees from last weekend’s unlucky reverse at Havant. Sam Pearson and Dan Bowry return from international duty, while formerly ever-present Alex Hartridge will be back from his parent club Exeter City.
This is City’s first home draw in a cup after seven successive away ties, so please make sure you’re there to cheer the team on!

Going to the ‘Sorry We Missed You’ screening event on Saturday night? Doors will open in Randall’s for this screening at 6.45pm for a 7.15pm prompt film start. For anyone coming to the game and staying on for the film, we will be serving hot food at £5 per head in Charlie’s after the game and before the screening. Please order, or pre-order, at the bar anytime during the day. Last food orders: 6.30pm and the menu will be published on the day! The bar will be open on the night, and we’ll also be selling popcorn and sweets to complete the big-screen experience!
