Bath City FC Statement
Bath City Football Club welcomes the news that the Government plans to support National League clubs while fans are not permitted to attend matches. While we are deeply disappointed that our loyal supporters cannot be there to watch the team play and we recognise the frustrations with this situation, we are grateful for this planned financial lifeline which is vital under the current guidelines.
We look forward to hearing further details and seeing a fair allocation of funding reflecting our business planning, past attendances and revenues.
With the expectation of funding, we now anticipate being able to compete in both the Emirates FA Cup and Vanarama National League South, starting this Saturday with our 2nd Round Qualifying tie against Winchester City. Unfortunately FA Cup ties at Twerton Park as well as league matches will be played behind closed doors until we’re advised otherwise. Please bear with us while we await more details and attempt to implement new systems, but we will do all we can to enable supporters to see our matches on screen and of course will treat our season ticket holders fairly and with the respect they deserve. We will make further announcements this week.
Thank you again for all your support and patience through these uncertain times, and we look forward to the resumption of competitive football at Twerton Park this weekend.
