Bath City FC seeking new Directors

The Board and Supporter’s Society at Bath City are actively looking for new Directors to join the Board and help develop the club further.  And if you don’t want to be a full Director, then we are happy to “co-opt” people with the right experience and skill set to work with us on a variety of projects and areas.

Part of the recruitment drive is down to the fact that Jane Jones is moving across from being our Community Director to being our first  Director of Women’s Football.  Jane really led the drive to set-up of our Women’s Teams, with help from others, such as Peter Headington and Paul Williams in particular.  She has done a great job in this role and really needs to focus on this as it is a “full on” and time consuming.

So, we are looking for someone who can step into the Community Director role, to lead the Board’s liaison both with the local Twerton community and further afield across Bath and help build deeper relationships with the executives and politicians at the Council who work on community projects.

Caroline White now has a much-increased workload and family commitments, so she is stepping down as our Marketing Director.  We would like to thank Caroline for her significant contributions to the Club and hope to see her back again.  So, we are looking for someone to join us with good sales and marketing experience to help lead a strong team of volunteers who have been able to help promote the Club and our matches and have helped lead to such strong growth in our supporters over the past few seasons.

We have never managed to recruit an HR Director to the Club, and this is still something we are very keen to do, or to have a “co-opted” HR specialist.  This role is specifically to help us develop our protocols and to help us ensure we have a strong, positive culture in all areas of the Club.

I have also completed my two 3 years terms as Chair, so we are also looking for a new Chair.  We did have someone joining us but unfortunately for us he has accepted a new role overseas, so that won’t work.  And I have agreed to stay on for a while, until we find the right person to join and lead the Board.

If you are keen on any of these roles, or know someone who might be, do let any of the Directors know, e-mail info@bathcityfootballclub.co.uk or get in touch directly with Pete McCormack (Chairmen of the Supporters Society) on Bathcitysocietycommittee@gmail.com.

And we are always keen to get other volunteers to help at the Club, so if you have some time and are keen to help, please do get in touch, as we always need resource, and the more we have the “lighter the load” for everyone!

We are community owned Club, completely led and run by volunteers, so do get involved and help us keep growing the Club further.  The 3G project and redevelopment plans mean we really need people with project management and development skills and experience, so do get involved and get in touch!

Thank you.

Nick Blofeld, Chair
