Southwood caps great campaign with end of season award hat-trick
Luke Southwood was the big winner in the end of season awards that followed City’s 2-1 win over St Albans City at Twerton Park this afternoon. The on-loan Reading goalkeeper was named the Players, Supporters’ and Manager’s player of the year award after an great campaign which was perfectly capped by his penalty save in his 50th outing for the Romans. Jack Compton picked up the Golden Boot and also the goal of the season for his long-range strike at Braintree Town. Ken Norris was named Supporter of the Season and Ceris Evans won the Young Supporter of the Season. City’s U18 awards went to Zac Drew (Players player of the season), Charlie Saunders (Supporters’ player of the season) and Nick Pullman (Manager’s player of the season).
