Next Match – Slough Town (A)
Following a weekend break, Bath City face the Rebels for a second Tuesday running. Last week Worthing, this Tuesday Slough.
The hosts started the season superbly with five wins in their first six, but have followed it up with one victory in eight in the league. They were aided by what’s proved to be a kind set of opening fixtures – their first half dozen games were against teams no higher than 12th at present – and have only played two teams in the bottom half since.
A tremendous home record has also benefited the Rebels. They lost their first four at Arbour Park last term, in 31 matches at the venue since they’ve only been beaten by Hemel Hempstead Town. They’ve won eight points from losing positions at home, including one in Saturday’s draw with Truro City.
Bath City have lost their last two in the league but could move up four places if they collect a midweek win. If he figures, it will be Jack Batten’s 250th league appearance for the club. He made his 300th outing in all competitions at St Albans 10 days’ ago.
Overall record v Slough Town: Pld 28 W11 D7 L10 F47 A39.

Quirks:
- Last season’s meeting was abandoned, a win for Slough was added to National League South records but the goal difference was not. The statistics remain in Bath City records.
- Slavi Spasov opened the scoring inside a minute in the March fixture. It was the third game running that Slough had netted within the first 60 seconds.
