City ease to win in latest pre-season outing

Goals from Nick Grimes, a triallist and Louis Sweeten saw City to a comfortable 3-0 win over Melksham Town at Oakfield Stadium this evening.

City had gone close on several occasions before Grimes headed them in front on 19 minutes from a Ewan Clark corner. Clark also set up City’s second goal on the hour mark when his cross was headed home by an unmarked triallist. He was immediately replaced by Louis Sweeten and it was the substitute who slide in City’s third in the 73rd minute from Latrell Humphrey-Ewers low cross.
