Black and White Army ‘Paint the Park’

Last week saw an army of black and white volunteers come together at Twerton Park after a call to action from the club to ‘Paint the Park’ ahead of the new season.

With plans for redevelopment still under negotiation, it was time to give the ground some TLC and a lick of paint.

Friday saw volunteers from Netcraft prepping and priming, sanding down and getting the ground ready for painting. With materials and funding generously donated ./ heavily discounted by Rabart Decorating Services, Francis DIY, Brewers, Curo, Nigel Ashworth, Davies of Bath, M&K Hardwarre and a generous supporter, over 50 volunteers (including our own Chairman, Nick Blofeld) gave up their weekend to cover as much of the ground as possible – finishing off with a thank you beer courtesy of Electric Bear.

There was an element of rain dodging but overall the weather was kind.

White metal railings
Tidied up main entrance and turnstiles
Started repainting black and white panels on popular side
Wash down walls
Yellow security gates

Popular side toilets outside and in

James Carlin, CEO of Bath City Football Foundation, Supporter Liaison Officer, and Bath City Board member said: “Massive thanks to the 50 people who came over the weekend to help Paint The Park. We achieved so much over the two days and had a great time doing it. All of us share a passion for City and it’s brilliant to see how many people care about Twerton Park and want to
give something back.”

Caroline White, Marketing Director at the club added: “Bath City FC is run almost entirely by volunteers and is a really special place. It is the true beating heart of the community it sits within and this weekend showed just how much it means to everyone’
