City battle back in Tiverton draw
City recovered from a 2-0 half-time deficit to draw their latest pre-season outing against Tiverton Town this evening. The home side went ahead on 12 minutes when Richards headed home from close range. Then two minutes before the interval another corner routine saw Britton climb above Kieran Parselle to convert a far post header. City were back on level terms within eight minutes of the restart. A 49th minute mix-up between Tivvy’s trialist keeper and Morison allowed Dan Hayfield to walk the ball into the net, before Chris Lines’ pass sent Luke Russe clear on goal to slot home the equaliser. Both sides saw chances come and go as they pressed for a winner but a draw was probably the right result.
