It’s Matchday – City or Angels!
Jerry Gill’s in-form side takes on 11th placed Tonbridge Angels at Twerton Park this afternoon looking to leapfrog them with a third successive win and potentially move within seven points of the play-offs with a game in hand.
The sides last met in November at the Longmead Stadium where goals from Dan Hayfield and Alex Fletcher saw City recover from a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1. That result maintained the Romans’ eight game unbeaten run against the Angels since their first meeting in 2012.
The fixture is City’s annual ‘’Pay What You Like’’ Community Day Match where everyone is invited to pay as little (or as much) as you like to attend the fixture. The Community Day is always one of our best attended matches of the season with free activities including Charlotte’s face painting (BCFC logo) and inflatable Beat-the-Goalie plus Mr Nick’s Ice Cream Van. Bars and catering are available inside and outside the ground.
