Bath City FC Update
With Alex Fletcher continuing to receive hospital treatment and his family reporting on Sunday that he is in a critical condition in intensive care but starting to show small signs of improvement, the players have been given a return to training programme which saw them and the staff all meet up last night. Bath City FC can confirm that men’s first team fixtures will now resume this Saturday with our away visit to Billericay Town in the FA Trophy. Alex’s family are aware of this and support the decision.
Manager Jerry Gill said, ”Alex is uppermost in our minds throughout all of this. The past week has been incredibly hard, but we are a club united in our support for Alex, Ellie his fiance and Alex’s family. We are fully aware and in total agreement as a group that we have a duty of care to our football club to resume playing games and we will continue to be professional and committed in doing this to our best capabilities.”
The players, management and everyone at the Club is grateful for the enormous support the Bath City community and entire football family have shown to Alex and his family.
