Hervey double lifts City to big home win

Bath City Women enjoyed their biggest Twerton Park victory this afternoon with a 4-0 win over Banwell Ladies. In a dominant first half Annie Hervey’s 20-yard free-kick gave them the lead just before the half-hour mark before a trademark long-range shot from Tara Taylor made it 2-0 on 39 minutes. The visitors enjoyed the better of the early second half exchanges but a swift 71st minute break saw Hervey lift the ball over keeper Worley to give the Romans a three-goal advantage. And with 10 minutes left Cerys Evans raced clear of the Banwell defence and confidently steered it past Worley to complete the impressive win. A full match report can be found here and photos here.
