Why we love Twerton and why TP redevelopment is a huge opportunity
Sixteen Twerton-based businesses and community organisations teamed up to write an open letter to the Bath Chronicle last week. In the letter, published in the print version of the newspaper on Thursday, they expressed their support for the club’s redevelopment plans. They described their pride in their local area and shared their hope that the club’s application would receive approval from the BaNES planners so that Twerton could really meet its potential.
The online version of the letter – under the headline “Why we love Twerton and why park redevelopment is a huge opportunity” – was accompanied by a photograph of many of its signatories, who included both well-established Twerton businesses which have been trading in the high street for generations, such as Bakers of Bath and the Old Crown pub, as well as newcomers who have recently set up shop there, like Fun Science and Lovelee Beauty and Aesthetics. They were joined by community groups like Southside family project and St Michael’s Church Junior School in looking forward to the benefits the investment would bring both to Twerton and the whole of Bath.
Those who contributed to the letter included: Spirit Photography, Bakers of Bath, The Old Crown, Cross Fit Bath, Arcs and Sparks, Bath Community Shop, High Street Store, Fun Science, and LoveLee Beauty & Aesthetics.
Other signatories include Paul Dellenty Funeral Directors, Ken Reynolds Kitchen Services, Southside, Bath City FC Foundation, St Michael’s Church Junior School, First Steps (Bath) and St Michael’s Chiropractic Clinic.
