The Romans are back in action at Twerton Park on Tuesday evening! Jerry Gill’s men take on Hungerford Town in the Vanarama National League South. Kick off – 7:45pm!
City notched up an impressive 3-0 away win at Welling United on Saturday to record a pleasing opening of seven points from nine and fourth place in the league. First half goals from Alex Hartridge, Tyler Harvey and Tom Richards were enough to overcome last season’s beaten play-off finalists.
This Tuesday night we have the chance to see the Romans in action back on home turf as Hungerford make the trip down the A4 to Twerton Park.
The Crusaders rallied last season to avoid relegation with the help of an away win at Torquay, but have made a stuttering start to this term with 4-1 and 3-1 defeats against Hemel Hempstead and Maidstone bracketing a 1-0 win over Slough.
Last year a Ryan Brunt brace helped City to a 4-1 win in the equivalent fixture – we’d all love a similar preformance on Ryan’s return from suspension.
