3G Pitch Update

Some of you are aware we recently applied for the majority of the funds needed to install a 3G pitch in at Twerton Park via the Government’s Community Ownership Fund.  Unfortunately, our bid has been unsuccessful, which means there will be a delay of at least a season before we are able to go ahead with the 3G project as we explore other funding options.

Whilst this is disappointing for us as a club, it does allow us more time to plan what we need around the 3G pitch itself to maximise the opportunity – ie some extra facilities such as a simple café area, better toilets and potentially changing rooms, plus some storage space.

This news is frustrating for us and will slow down our financial progress, however, the continued growth in matchday attendances and improved revenue per game is to be celebrated and means we are still moving in the right direction. The Board remains committed to this project and is already working on alternative funding scenarios. We will share more information on this in due course.
