Bath City launched its Youth Development Squad in the autumn of 2011 as a complement to its already successful Academy based at Writhlington School.


The Youth Development Squad, also based at Writhlington, gives expert coaching to local players between the ages of nine and sixteen and will be a direct link to the Under 18 Academy team.


The Youth Development Squad does not compete in any formal leagues, but plays friendly matches against comparable programmes from other football clubs. All members are required to belong to a local youth league team as well.
